In an attempt to make this blog worth reading, I'm going to write about my life as an artist. I am a procrastinater. Perhaps some of you can relate. I have a bunch of projects started, but haven't finished many. My goal is to finish one project I have started each day or decide to get rid of the project completely. When I paint, I need to work on a couple different paintings or I get bored. Earlier this summer, I did an eagle painting, but it just doesn't look finished.
Goal 1: Finish eagle painting
Goal 2: create a fall themed painting for juried show.
Goal 3: finish Spark
Spark is a book about creative people and the author created NPR's Studio 360. Each chapter discusses how creative people started out. Such artists as Chuck Close and William Christenberry are featured. It's really interesting. It inspires me to take an idea and run with it. See what happens.

Next chapter
Well, my temp job as a foodservice director/cook came to an end last Wednesday as the program ended for the summer. Now, it's time for something new. I'm still continuing my graduate program in Organizational Management. The kids are home with me. Abigail starts kindegarten in a little more than a month. We plan to attend some fairs and festivals before the summer ends.
A career lies ahead. What it will be I can only gues.

Back to blogging
Wow! Much has changed in 6 years since my last post. Actually, I was surprised to find that this still existed. Now, I will be adding a link to this and my other blog on my fb profile.
My life is still fab even though I don't always feel that way. I have to children ages five and two. Have had numerous jobs in the past 6 years and am currently working on my Master's in Organizational Management (my M.O.M. degree lol). Hoping to find a stable career in which I can utilize my management skills and customer service skills. Until the end of July I am the food service director for the Tri Valley Title I in a nearby town. We serve an average of 65 students for each meal. It's fun and I would do it again if I got paid a little more or I was off just for the summer from my fulltime job.
God is a big part of my life and the church I go to is awesome. Riverside is a Spirit-filled body of believers that are on fire for God. There's free counseling, year-round Sunday school, various small groups, nursery available with caring staff, block parties during the summer to reach out to the community, awesome praise and worship, a pastor who preaches from the Word, youth worship services and fun events. There is something for everyone and Christ is in everything we do. Chic Chat is my favorite group. It's a group of women from various churches that meets Tuesday mornings at Dunn bros. coffee. We can build each other up, give godly wisdom, pray and listen. It's great!
