Day 6 of European tour

TOday we did a lot of driving. We started in East Sussex this morning and drove to the other side of England where we took a train through the Chunnel. From there we drove through France to Belgium where we had our lunch and then to Cologne, Germany.

Before checking into our hotel in Cologne, we toured the Dom Cathedral which is the most magnificent church I have ever seen. After we checked into our hotel, we had a most deliscious dinner in the hotel restaurant and now I am sitting in the internet cafe a few blocks from the hotel. I did not get much from England because the exchange rate is so terrible. A pound is almost $2, so everything cost twice as much. In Germany, I plan on doing more shopping so if I get you a gift it will probably be from Germany, Austria or the Czech Republic.

Cheerio!

Sounds like you're still having a good time.

Tell Stacy to feel better (I heard that she was quite ill not too long ago on tour).

And, to prepare you for the Czech Republic...a few words/phrases you might want to know. I decided to sound them out rather than try to spell them:

good day/good morning=DOH-beh-dee den
good evening/good night=DOH-broh nootz
how are you?=YAHK-see-MAHSH

and of course, the most important thing to know in any country...
beer=PEE-voh (spelled PIVO, I think)

Anyway, hope you're having a lovely time and that nobody's gotten lost or left behind, and that everyone stays healthy. Take care and have fun!
