Have I got news for you!

It has been a while since my last post and a lot has happened.

First of all, I am no longer a toddler teacher at a daycare center as of February 17th. Due to the fact that I had a 45min commute, the cost of gas was at least a third of my paycheck, leaving little money to pay bills or get groceries. The second reason for my quitting has to do with my next bit of news for you.

I am pregnant and due June 25th, 2006, which makes me almost 27 weeks along.

You may be thinking that I could have continued working there while being pregnant, but pregnant women need to eat and rest. I was lucky if, during my ten hours of working, I got a half hour break for lunch. Nap time was when I had to scarf down my lunch, clean the room, and fill out evaluations of each child's day for the parents. It just wasn't good for my health.

What am I doing now? I've been substituting in the local school district as a pera professional. I really like it, although I wished they called me more to work. The past two weeks, I haven't been working, but that's okay because I was in the hospital for an infection and now I'm dealing with an allergic reaction to the antibiotics I was on.

Let's get back to the baby stuff. Olvyn and I found out last month that we are going to have a little girl. He thought we were going to have a boy and even dreamed about it. My doctor said that there still is a possibility of us having a boy because the ultrasound is not always right.

Take care and I will try to keep you posted on the baby stuff.

Congratulations girl! We haven't talked in who knows how long, but I just wanted to say congrats and I'm happy for you and Obi! I'll try and give you a call sometime soon so we can catch up. Funny how life gets so busy and crazy...Anyway, I hope all is going well, and I hope the schools call you in more often (but not so often that you can't get the rest you need!). Take care of yourself and we'll catch up soon :)
